In my humble opinion, most holiday albums that artists release are pretty lame. There may be one or two half-decent songs, but the rest is usually just weak filler.
Such is decidedly not the case with Chris Isaak. He released his holiday CD in 2004 and packed it with hip, clever, and fun covers of many classic songs. He also went the extra mile and wrote a few new ones. It's one of my favorites.
This song was first recorded by Bing Crosby, then covered--appropriately enough--by Don Ho. Here, Chris Isaak lends his decidedly Crosby-esque voice to the song, arranges it very nicely, and adds backing vocals that a subtly hilarious (to me, anyway). I just love it.
